This is a friction fit adapter. Push it onto your tool’s dust port while twisting slightly.
If desired, use a very small amount of silicone sealant on the inside of the adapter prior to installation for a more semi-permanent hold; silicone sealant isn’t an adhesive, so it can be removed, it just adds a lot of grip. (Note: don’t use products labeled “silicone adhesive” if you want to be able to remove the adapter later — use “silicon sealant”).
